TAFE & Adult Provision AMES negotiations continue

  • 26 Sep 2019

Negotiations at AMES continue, with the employer being granted the ability to roll over the current agreement with a 2.5% pay increase. AMES are hoping for a two- year agreement which would see these conditions form part of their tender bid for the next three years of funding. This will be in stark contrast to the current conditions of teachers based in a TAFE who are delivering these programs under the TAFE MEA 2018.

Unfortunately, the instability of funding has caused bidders to look for ways to reduce the cost of their bids, as previous bids have shown that when it comes to winning the tender, it is cost over quality.
