TAFE & Adult Provision Better times at Nadrasca
Increasing union membership in your workplace, and then collectively deciding what you want and how to get it, means your voice will be heard. This will affect your working conditions and entitlements – better wages, fairer working hours, and adequate health and safety – and is critical to achieving a satisfactory working life. This is just what our members at Nadrasca did.
After nearly two years of negotiating, Nadrasca members have reached agreement with their employer. The Nadrasca Industry Services Employee Enterprise Agreement 2022 contains many improvements to members’ entitlements, including a sign-on bonus, a 3% increase effective from April 2022, then a 4.6% salary increase effective from July 2022. In July 2023 and July 2024 there will be an annual increase of 3% plus any increase under the annual National Minimum Wage Decision.
It also features dedicated supervision-free lunch and tea breaks, the introduction of cultural leave, domestic violence leave above National Employment Standards, increases to parental leave, and clear guidance for annual performance bonuses, along with an overall increase to the amount.
These wins demonstrate the power of union members acting together.
