Redlich’s was successful in obtaining ongoing weekly payments for a teacher who sustained psychological injuries due to repetitive, unreasonable harassment by her principal. The harassment persisted outside of work hours and when she was on sick leave.

Our client returned to a different workplace in a limited capacity, meeting the criteria for top-up payments beyond the 130-week period, which we succeeded in securing. This not only ensures continued support for our client but also acknowledges those who, despite facing challenges, make meaningful contributions at work. 

It reiterates the need for injured workers to make top-up applications as a priority if they have not achieved a WPI assessment of more than 20%, as the proposed changes to WorkCover will mean less support for workers who return to work below their pre-injury hours.
